Geely to show updated GT Concept in Shanghai, Production Version may follow shortly

One of the most talked about concept cars at last year's Beijing motorshow, the Geely GT (where GT stands for "Geely Tiger") is making a comeback at next month's Shanghai auto salon. The Chinese automaker said in a statement that the positive reviews from the American press have "forced" the company to seriously consider building a production version of the coupe and for this reason, they have updated the concept by adding an interior and Lamborghini-style scissor doors as well as solving around 90 percent of the engineering problems - whatever that means.

Ferrari-Spotting: Matte Black and White 599 GTB in Singapore

Modified Ferraris always manage to capture our attention here at Carscoop. This freshly spotted 599 GTB Fiorano was caught parked somewhere in Singapore and aside from the two-tone, matte black and white theme, it featured dark tail lamps and headlight crystals, and a set of black color alloy wheels with yellow rings. Our two-minute quest on the net did not reveal if the 599 GTB was custom made or the result of a high-end tuning house like Mansory, as the reader that sent us the pictures suggested. Those folks at BMW are such teasers; just a few weeks after they unveiled the first photos of the all-new 2009 7-Series, the Bavarian carmaker released a set of sketches depicting various design propositions for their flagship sedan. These sketches show that BMW’s design team was actually working on a look much closer to the CS Concept. In the end of course BMW chose a less sporty and more conventional look for the new 7-Series. But hey, look at it from the bright side; at least they didn’t create another E65 (previous 7er). —- More about this Super car >> Read more…
