Now it is up to me and my cup of coffee...

After finding a decision about all your great entries was harder than expected here, first there comes my honest expression: I am really stunned by your cars and your imagination. Everyone of you could show off in a post apocalyptic world as everyone has made his totally personal car with much heart and passion. I am very proud of every entry of the famous 29. You can find the big gallery of all entries here - sorry @Peacewagon: I did not yet solve the problem why your pictures won't be shown in the gallery. I am still at it. Now i have to talk about the winners and it still seems a hard decision as i really fell in love with every entry. Such great ideas, such cool conversions, such great detail, such great stories, but there can only be 3 to win the main prizes and some to win extra prizes. In fact you are all winners as you did create something beautiful from the heart and with ton of passion and personality included - you can be very proud and i hope no one is angry with me judging work - believe me, never had such a hard decision to make in the last years. I really did it from the heart and choose those who hit me the most when the email dropped in. Gratitude to all of you for making this contest what it has become...

Aloa.

Now finally the big gallery of all entries is up and will be attached soon to the upper horizontal navigation bar / Competitions - i am sorry for the waiting time, there is a lot to do and work at the moment.

I hope I did not forget anyone as all these preparations are confusing- if so just let me know.
The winners are not yet announced, but i can say i made my decision and it was a though one.
There will be 3 main prizes for the first 3 places, those you can find in the announcement.
I was really positivly shocked by all of those great entries so there will be some more prizes randomly given away. I am sorry that not anybody will get a prize, i really feel deeply sorry about it when i look at your awesome entries but i wishFortuna to be with you all this time.

Some information about the additional special prizes randomly given away by the jungle:

Traveling Cheap John

Tief hing der Wagen auf der Stra?e, flatternde T�cher im Wind, die den Regen kaum abhalten konnten. Selbst Jahre nach der Katastrophe spielte das Wetter noch immer verr�ckt, nach wochenlanger Hitze schien nun der Regen eines ganzen Jahres innerhalb weniger Stunden zu fallen. Der Mercedes brummte ruhig die verlassene Autobahn entlang. Immer wieder musste der Fahrer liegengebliebenen Fahrzeugen ausweichen, die im gelben Lichtkegel der improvisierten Scheinwerfer erschienen. Die immer schlechter werden Stra?enverh?ltnisse dieser Reste der Zivilisation machten ihm zu schaffen: B?che, die sich quer durch die Fahrbahnen gefressen hatten, verlassene Wegposten kilometerlange Autofriedh?fe mit tausenden von rostenden Fahrzeugen, das Stunde um Stunde, Tag um Tag. Er fuhr nicht zu schnell, um auf den un�bersichtlichen Stra?en nicht zu verunfallen und auch nicht zu langsam, um den wenigen verbliebenen Banden, sechs Jahre nach der Apokalypse nicht doch noch ein Ziel zu bieten. Nach einem pr�fenden Blick auf eine s elbstgezeichnete Karte nahm er einige Kilometer weiter eine Abzweigung, machte vor einer beleuchteten Stra?ensperre halt. Das Glitzern der Solarkollektoren in der untergehenden Sonne war schon von weit entfernt zu sehen. Schnell dr?ngten sich die Wachen um den Mercedes: "Dich habe ich ja schon ewig nicht mehr gesehen! Muss' ein halbes Jahr her sein... Oder sogar l?nger..." - "Kommst du aus dem S�den? Was machen die Trottel in "Neuland"?" - "Ich habe eine Flasche Schnaps gewettet, das deren Damm diesen Winter nicht �berlebt. Oh Mann! Erz?hl Philipp blo? nicht das er gehalten hat, ich habe schon seit Jahren keine Flasche Schnaps mehr!" - "Jetzt komm' aber erstmal aus dem Wagen, der Chef hat einen ganzen Haufen Briefe f�r dich, die m�ssen alle nach Norden in dieses Seelager da... Mann, das soll er dir vielleicht besser selbst erkl?ren. Irgendwas mit Medikamenten und Heilkr?utern war da auch noch... Und Benzin haben wir auch aufgetrieben. Bezahlung und so. Wird immer schwerer das Zeug zu finden!"

Grundmodell meines Umbaus war ein Mercedes Benz 560 SEC von Revell, Mad Max typisch mit ordentlich Leistung (5,5 Liter V8 mit 300 PS). Der Name "traveling cheap John" spielt auf die Funktion meines Wagens an: Da ich mich pers?nlich nach Armaggedon nicht mit dem MG auf dem Dach durch die Stra?ensperren marodierender Banden schlagen w�rde, bleibt eigentlich nur die Option, als "fliegender H?ndler" allerlei Krimskrams zu verkaufen, Post zu liefern oder ?hnliches. Ein Mercedes gilt ja als besonders robust, genug Ersatzreifen kann man ja mitnehmen, einige Benzinkanister im Kofferraum, schnell ein Transportgest?nge auf das Dach geschwei?t und los gehts!

Gewisse Adaptionen an Costners (Furchtbar schlechten) Endzeitfilm "Postman" waren dabei durchaus Absicht! ;)
